FAQs

WHAT IS CBD?

Cannabidiol, abbreviated to “CBD”, is one of approximately 115 “phytocannabinoids” naturally occurring in hemp (cannabis) plants.

CAN CBD GET YOU HIGH?

No. It is FDA law that in order to sell CBD legally in the US, it has to contain less than 0.3% of THC — which is not enough to have any psychoactive effects.

IS CBD LEGAL?

On December 20 2018, the Farm Bill declared that all “hemp” extracts (CBD) are legal agricultural products provided that they contain <0.3% THC. In short, as long as the product is below 0.3% THC, it is federally legal in the United States.

WHAT ARE CANNABINOIDS?
Cannabinoids are a diverse group of chemical compounds naturally found in the human body (endo-cannabinoids) and also in cannabis plants (phyto-cannabinoids).

HOW DO CANNABINOIDS WORK?
Cannabinoids interact with receptors of the Endocannabinoid System (ECS) in the body to restore a normal state of healthy balance.

WHAT IS THC?
Delta-9 THC is largely responsible for the psychoactive effects of cannabis. THC can build up in the body and can result in failed drug tests over time.

WILL CBD MAKE ME FAIL A DRUG TEST?A good quality tested CBD product that is less than 0.3% THC or THC-free should not cause you to fail a drug test. Legally, we can’t advise you along those lines, however. While our products are lab tested to ensure 100% <0.3% THC legality, certain states and organizations have a zero THC tolerance policy. As such, you should check your local laws and employer’s policies before beginning the use of CBD products.

WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN HEMP AND MARIJUANA?
While both hemp and marijuana are technically different “breeds” of the same plant – cannabis – their chemical components are what differentiate one from the other. Marijuana is a form of cannabis with greater than 0.3% THC that can induce psychoactive effects on the user. Industrial Hemp, however, must by definition contain less than 0.3% THC. This makes it much less attractive to those seeking psychoactive effects, but it’s great news for those looking for the health benefits of the other cannabinoids like CBD. Industrial hemp is also used for everything from clothing fibers and rope to food and health supplements. Hemp really is the most versatile plant on Earth!

WHAT ARE THE HEALTH BENEFITS OF CBD?
The FDA and the lawyers in the fancy suits won’t let us claim CBD can diagnose, prevent, treat, or cure any disease or ailment. That said, there are plenty of studies available online for you to look into and decide for yourself.
